ARTIST’S PROFILE
Born February 16, 1969 in Lallo, Cagayan Jen Utleg Consumido manifested his artistic inclination at an early age. His family moved to Tuguegarao, Cagayan when he was in the second grade and it was in the elementary school that he started joining poster making competitions, and continued thru his high school left. Jen left visual arts for a while when he studied Mass Communication in college. Realizing that his passion in life is in art he started to draw and paint prolifically. He works in different media, both dry and wet. His subject range are people, old churches and portions of old houses, landscape and social commentaries---mostly focused on children, poverty and the natural environment.
Jen also enjoys sharing his self-honed talent and he often offers his free lectures and demos in workshops, and also teaches art as a private tutor.
